Multi-factor authentication (MFA)
Introducing MFA. What is it?
To log into any of our Centerline web sites, you go to the website, enter your username and that familiar password. Then, you’re in. You can go about your business.
Our concern is simple passwords used by staff for accounts potentially allowing hackers to gain access to any number of your accounts by simply cracking one of your passwords, or obtaining your password from other hacked sites. The good news: There’s an easy way to better protect your data. It's called multi-factor authentication (MFA) and IT is implementing it.
MFA changes how you log into Office 365 and Okta.
The change moves you FROM using a Username and Password to login TO using a Username and Password + CODE you are presented in a Mobile App or Text Message.
Avoiding confusion
MFA will only change how you log into M365 (Email and Office apps) and Okta. Ultimately, Okta will be your login path to more of our applications. Configure our commonly used web sites with Okta will reduce the number of login credentials you have to manage.
